A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Communion
A gentle wind blows as I walk the steps into the sanctuary. Ushers hand out the week's program in a
welcome exchange. I never read the news before I settle into my seat on Row #6. I breathe in the beautiful
setting admiring the creamy walls, stained glass and towering wooden arches. My heart leaps as I sit down on the comfortable pew. The communion table is set. I love the sacred ceremony of communion; the reverence, the symbolism, the quietness. I feel a freshness in the air like purity after a rain. I pray to receive God's goodness. Unspeakable power flows down the aisles and through the pews as the Holy Spirit says grace over the meal we receive. I cherish the unity of the church as we hold our bread until everyone is served and then eat together. The drink is taken in like manner. It truly feels like we are eating dinner with the Almighty. I look around as if to see a glimpse of God in the quiet stillness. The quietness is best described as perfect peace, an enveloping calm losing yourself in his love. I see the corners of God's mouth turn upward as a smile floods his face to see his people worship him through his son. Christ said every time we eat the bread and drink the cup, we do it in remembrance of him. Exiting the church after the service, I see a milk truck. I think of God and whisper knowingly "Yes, he does a body good!"
Satisfied and full,
Tammy

Fast and Easy Ways to Annoy People with Misophonia
Do you live with someone who has misophonia? Better yet, what is misophonia? Misophonia is a very complicated and little understood disorder that affects a person's sensitivity to noise. You may have noticed your son getting upset over the slightest sounds or your husband telling you "Stop raking your fork on your teeth!" Individuals with misophonia get emotionally upset over sounds and ticks other people rarely hear.

Mammaries at the Grammys
The dress code for the 2013 Grammys was addressed in an email to attendees by CBS. The email stated "Be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered." "Thong type costumes are problematic." "Avoid sheer see-through clothing." -- CNN The request was obviously ignored

The Sweet Life of a Farmer
Are you a fan of Super Bowl Commercials? Their popularity grows every year. My 2013 favorite is So God Made a Farmer.
It featured Paul Harvey's speech at the 1978 FFA Convention. If you've
been a farmer, know a farmer or are a farmer, it was quite moving. Watch
it and be inspired. Kudos to Dodge for

The Super Bowl is all about the SOCKS!
The Queen B ain't got nuthin' on this style maven! Like I say "A girl's gotta use what she got!" Look at Beyonce' rockin' with her socks on at Super Bowl 2013.
I'm feelin' a bit like a trend setter! I realize my thighs can't move like hers. I wish they could. My legs aren't as long and lush. I wish they were. My heels are 1/4 inch and hers are 4/1 inch. Yes, I'd break my arches to wear heels if I could! Don't bother me none though. I've been rockin' my black socks with shorts for years now. I'm just glad she finally catched up!

I'm thinking a slather of self-tanner, a black body slimmer and low-heeled black boots could land me on the half-time show of Super Bowl 2014! What do you think ladies? Would you be my back up doing those hip thrusts? I'm gonna make sure my insurance is up-to-date and send in our resumes for next year!
If they want me, they better give me a ring on it,

3 Thoughtful & Inexpensive Gifts for your Mr.
Are you the girl or lady who thinks of creative gifts for your Mr. all the time? Well, sister, that's not me! If it's not you either, this post may help. I've put together three gifts for my husband lately that made an impression. And after all, isn't that why we give gifts? We want them to make our mister smile, remember us when they look at them and just generally make them happy! 'Cause when Daddy smiles everybody's having a good day!
The Eye Glass Totem I found this adorable eye glass holder at World Market. Our idea for Valentine's Day the past several years has been to buy gifts for less than $10. I had budget to spare with this $5.99 gift. The best thing is he actually uses it! Many costly gifts wind up in the drawer and never used. My husband, Steve is always losing his glasses. I gave him this holder with a cute little note telling him "So you'll always know where they are!" You can make up your own sweet note. If your Mr. doesn't wear glasses, it's also a great key ring holder. Keys are always getting lost at our house too! Whatever he uses it for, every time he looks at it, he'll clearly see you!
52 Things I Love About You Box Got this idea from Pinterest. Loved it so much I made several for my husband, my daughters, my son-in-law and my parents! Begin by writing down 52 things you love about the person getting the gift. You'll think "That's easy". It almost made my brain hurt a couple of times thinking. Your "things" should be thoughtful, unusual, awesome! They pack a bigger punch if they are uber-personal. For example, one of my husband's, "I love you for being a non-smoker." He appreciated it. He quit smoking long ago which was difficult for him and vividly remembered. I'd never told him how much his selflessness, giving up a habit he loved, meant to me. Awww! Use boxes you have lying around to save money. Print a label for each box to personalize more. My husband's box has a comic of his passion, a motorcycle. Use paper and pencil or print 52 items using Word or Notepad. Cut them into strips, fold and place in the box. Your Mr. will read one per week until next Valentine's Day! He'll think of you with each one he reads and be grinning week after week!
Unframed 4x6 Photo Does your husband have a cubicle at work? Mine does. The limited space leaves little room for mementos. Work is always stressful. The idea of creating my mister an edited photo to put on his sticky board inside his cubicle was a success. Edit your photo with a free editor. You can make it anything you want -- cute, sexy, funny, you imagine it! Secretly, I think this fulfilled my dream of being a pin-up girl! (Laughing at myself) A handicap girl has to have her fun! I wanted my man to know I appreciate him bringing home the bacon. I pray for him and his job daily. The pin-up 4x6 unframed photo reminds him of my love and encouragement every time he looks at it. I'm his biggest cheerleader!

The Puxatony Pill
Well, tomorrow is Groundhog Day! Supposedly, Puxatony Phil will predict the weather yet again. The tradition of Groundhog Day dates back to 1887. The story goes if Phil sees his shadow we will have six more weeks of winter but if he doesn't, Spring is on it's way. Text the word "groundhog" to 247365 to get his prediction via a text message. Rodents and technology partnering to bring us news we can use!
The question is do you swallow the Puxatony pill? Do you believe a groundhog can predict the coming of spring or the continuation of winter? Do you plant your garden by Phil's forecast? Historians report Phil seen his shadow more times than he didn't, 97-15. I can't remember exactly what the weather did after his predictions. Can you?
The largest crowd ever is expected for the countdown on this 2013 Groundhog Day's Eve. Dick Clark would be proud! People will gather at Gobbler's Knob in Pennsylvania awaiting the impending decisiveness of the illustrious Phil. A large plexiglass illuminated cutout of him will stand erected for visitors to ohhh and ahhh over starting at one minute before midnight. Join the Inner Circle. You get some nifty groundhog stuff for a membership fee of $15. If those cool top hats are one of the perks, I'm in!
How about you? Do you swallow the Phil pill or not? Leave me a comment and let me know if you depend on Phil for your winter/spring forecast. You may think it's a bunch of baloney, well that's not so or the groundhog would be a pig...
Phoney or the real Phil,
Tammy
