You talking to me?

praying for answers
Do you ask God for advice? Do you pray for answers to your situations or problems? Then wait for God to speak?  When God speaks, you hear what he says but somehow you don't think it pertains to what you've been praying for. It's really not the answer you want. You tuck it away for a rainy day,
hold it as a "get out of jail free" card or even better, you think about it and know (beyond a shadow of a doubt) it's the answer to so-and-so's problem...

Are you human like me? I make mistakes...a LOT! I learned a valuable lesson a few years ago. I'd been praying for a situation. God gave me an answer and I shared it with several of my close friends trying to figure out who the message was for. Their response most often was "Wow! I hope God's not saying that to me!"  That was my response too! I never forgot what God said to me and several months later realized it was my answer.

The moral of this story? When God speaks, you never have to wonder who he's talking to. He doesn't give you answers for other people's lives. If you've been praying for advice, answers or anything and He speaks...He's talking to you!

  1. It may not be the answer we are looking for, but down the road we realize His wisdom. If we could see the bigger picture when the question was first asked, we would understand he has a reasons for everything. Thanks for stopping by my site earlier--following you back via GFC.
